Course description

Anyone working with food is legally required to have some form of training in food safety. This course is a nationally recognized course. The course includes a variety of presentations covering the following topics:

  • Legislation
  • Food safety hazards
  • Temperature control
  • Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding
  • Cooking, hot holding and reheating
  • Food handling
  • Principles of safe food storage
  • Cleaning
  • Food premises and equipment

At the end of the course all candidates will sit a short examination.  Following the course examination papers are sent to the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health for marking.  Successful candidates will receive the nationally recognized Food Safety qualification by EFET (Hellenic Food Safety Authority).

Who should attend the course?

Anyone working with or around food and requires a good understanding and knowledge of food safety and is legally required to have some form of training in food safety.
