At the end of January will be available the final version of the new version of the standard IFS Food version 6. The development of a new version of the model began in December 2010 and the changes were based in part on the views of users as reflected through questionnaires.

 

The major changes compared to the previous version are:

  • Changes in the way of grading the inspection
  • Upgrading of the requirements of the Food Safety Management System based on the requirements of the GFSI and ISO 22000
  • Integration of allergens as a risk to the HACCP study
  • Monitor and maintain records in Control Points (CP)
  • Upgrading management process in diseases
  • Upgrading process control and approval of suppliers / subcontractors
  • Mandatory Food defense process

 

The application of this standard is mandatory from 1 July 2012 and until then, the previous version (version 5).

 

PRIORITY, the experienced consultant, having vast experience in the development of Food Safety Management Systems, with more than 350 systems in the food and beverage industry, is able to lead companies involved in the food chain to be certified according to standard IFS.

 

Moreover PRIORITY has developed management software FSMS, the eQualSuite, which achieves a reduction of at least 70% of the time required for the functioning of administrative procedures.
