The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) has granted the first ever accreditation for testing digital terrestrial television receivers. DTG Testing Ltd has been accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, the international standard for laboratory testing. It is the sole testing body for manufacturers of broadcast receivers wishing to apply the Digital Tick and Freeview marks to their products.

DTG Testing was founded by the Digital Television Group (DTG), the industry association for digital television in the UK, which represents broadcasters, consumer groups and manufacturers. The DTG is responsible for controlling and maintaining the specification for interoperability requirements for Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) within the UK, known as the D-Book.

The Digital Tick mark was developed by the UK government as part of the rollout of the new DTT service in the UK. It is being implemented by Digital UK, the body tasked with publicising and handling the digital switchover across the country. The marks will be proof that receivers are capable of handling the services provided by the new broadcasts. With the digital switchover now well under way, the marks are guaranteed to be in the public eye.

The laboratory provides testing on all types of set top boxes and televisions, with their current scope of accreditation covering the requirements for receivers using DVB-T technology.
